BioTiNet fellows defended their PhD theses










BioTiNet ESR fellow Matthias B÷nisch (IFW Dresden, Germany) successfully defended his PhD-thesis entitled 'Structural properties, deformation behavior and thermal stability of martensitic Ti-Nb alloys' (10 June 2016) at the TU Dresden (Germany).




BioTiNet ESR fellow Nataliia Stepina (University of Oxford (UOXF.DJ), UK) successfully defended her PhD-thesis with the title 'Biocompatible carbon nanotube/▀-titanium alloy composite materials' (18 May 2016) at the University of Oxford (UK).

BioTiNet ESR fellow Mehdi Golozar (University of Cambridge (UCAM), UK) successfully defended his PhD-thesis with the title 'Plasma electrolytic oxide coatings on low-modulus ▀-type titanium alloys: applications to load-bearing orthopaedic implants' (20 May 2015) at the University of Cambridge (UK).

BioTiNet ESR fellow Somayeh Abdi (IFW Dresden, Germany) successfully defended her PhD-thesis entitled 'Investigation of new Ti-based metallic glasses with improved mechanical properties and corrosion resistance for implant applications' (2 Feb. 2015) at the TU Dresden (Germany).




BioTiNet ESR fellow Martina Lorenzetti (Jozef Stefan Institute (IJS), Slovenia) successfully defended her PhD-thesis entitled 'Synthesis and characterization of nanostructured bioactive anatase coating on Ti-alloys for biomedical applications' (19 Dec. 2014).




BioTiNet ESR fellow Jose Julio Gutierrez Moreno (University of Ioannina (UOI), Greece) successfully defended his PhD-thesis entitled 'Theory-guided bottom-up design of low-rigidity Ti-based alloys (ab initio and molecular dynamics calculations)' (12 Nov. 2014) at the University of Ioannina (Greece).




BioTiNet ESR fellow Anna Hynowska (Universitat Autonoma Barcelona (UAB), Spain) successfully defended her PhD-thesis entitled 'Biocompatible Ti-based metallic glasses and nanocomposite materials' (31 Oct. 2014) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain).




BioTiNet ESR fellow Yaofeng Guo (Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (GrenobleINP), France) successfully defended his PhD-thesis with the title 'Beta-BCC et Alliages Amorphes Biocompatibles a Base de Titane pour les Implants' (7. April 2014) at the UniversitÚ de Grenoble (France).
